Making Google Work for You

Everyone knows Google is the king when it comes to search engines but did you know that they also offer some great services that will help you grow your business online. Here a list of a few of my favorites that you can integrate quickly to your online activities.
Google Adwords
Most business owner know by now what Google Adwords is. For those of you who don’t it is the ads that show up on the top and right hand side when ever you do a search on Google. They also show up on the content partner web sites when ever that page is shown. This is a huge network and reaches up to 80% of online users according to Google. This is a Pay Per Click model of advertising and you only pay for an ad when someone clicks on it. If you don’t have an account you can always sign up at http://adwords.google.com
Google Voice Local Search

Currently Google is looking at ways that it can ad this to its ever growing list of off line services. By dialing 1-800-GOOG-411 (1-800-466-4411) you can be connected to what ever business you want.
Since this is still in the experimental stage it’s not always going to be available, but you can try since the price is just right…free. The service works the same way as the normal 411 call but it does make you wonder how Google will try and make money off of this venture. With all the different types of businesses they have been snatching up in the last couple of years you can only wonder what is over the horizon.
